In the Amaravati Lok Sabha constituency, there are six Vidhan Sabha seats including Badnera, Amravati, Teosa, Daryapur, Melghat, and Achalpur. Four of these seats are general seats. Daryapur is reserved for SC and Melghat is earmarked for ST candidates.

BJP is fielding Sunil Deshmukh from the Amravati seat for the upcoming assembly elections 2019. Congress party is fielding Anirudha Subhanrao Deshmukh from the Achalpur seat. BJP’s Ramesh Bundile is fighting from the Daryapur constituency. Yashomati Chandrakant Thakur will be representing the Congress party in the Teosa seat.

The state of Maharashtra goes for a single phase polling for the assembly elections this time. the polling will happen for all the constituencies on October 21, 2019 and the votes will be counted on October 24, 2019.

In 2019 Parliamentary elections, SHS candidate won from this constituency. Adsul Anandrao Vithoba of the SHS party won from here securing 1,37,932 votes more than the runner up candidate Navneet Ravi Rana who represented the NCP.

In the 2014 assembly elections, Badnera was won by Ravi Rana of IND who secured 7419 votes more than the runner up candidate Band Sanjay Raosaheb of SHS. From Amravati seat, BJP’s Dr. Deshmukh Sunil Panjabrao secured 35072 votes more than INC candidate Raosaheb Shekhawat and became the MLA. From the Teosa constituency, the voters elected INC’s Adv. Yashomati Thakur (Sonawane) who had secured 20441 votes more than the BJP candidate Nivedita Dighade Choudhari. The electors of Daryapur (SC) had chosen Ramesh Ganpatrao Bundile of the BJP party who had won with a margin of 19582 votes more than the RPI candidate Balwant Baswant Wankhade. From the Melghat seat, BJP’s Bhilawekar Prabhdas Babulal had become the MLA after defeating Rajkumar Dayaram Patel of NCP with a margin of 1979 votes. The Achalpur seat saw IND’s Bacchu Alias Omprakash Babarao Kadu winning from here who had got 10170 votes more than the next candidate Ashok Shridharpant Bansod from BJP.
