Dreame Technology, a popular home appliance brand that is a part of Xiaomi’s ecological chain recently launched a new wet and dry vacuum cleaner in India, dubbed as the H12 Core.

The H12 Core isn’t like a regular wet and dry vacuum cleaner found in the market. Being part of a technology giant, company has put technology to use to make the job easier. Dreame had made its debut in India in 2023 with the DreameBot D9 Max vacuum cleaner.

I have been testing the Dreame H12 Core for some time now and here is review about the company’s latest offering in India.

Design and features

The Dreame H12 Core is a smart wet and dry vacuum cleaner that has been designed for hard floors. It comes with two cleaning modes – automatic and suction.

The H12 Core comes with a lightweight design, with a roller brush at the bottom. The roller brush extends from one end to another, allowing you to cover the large area.

The lightweight design, coupled with the forward traction technology makes it easier to use the device, as you don’t have to put in too much effort while cleaning.


It comes with a large 900 ml clean water tank and a 500 ml tank for used water, allowing you to clean your home without having to refill the water tank or empty the dirty water tank.

The used water tank is equipped with a HEPA filter that prevents dirt particles from escaping back into the air while you are cleaning. When the used water tank is full, the vacuum stops cleaning.


The H12 Core comes with a large display at the top, that showcases the battery level, mode that is being used and more. It also tells you when you need to fill the clean water tank, empty the used water tank or when you need to start self-cleaning.

The vacuum comes with a large handle that allows you to use it without having to bend down. The handle comes with three buttons – a power button, a button to change modes and a button to begin self-cleaning while charging.


The device comes with a charging base, which charges the device as well as holds the device in place.

Performance

The Dreame H12 Core is designed for cleaning both wet and dry floors and it does its job well. I tested the H12 Core in different parts of my home, all of which had a hard floor.

While most dirt marks and stains easily came off, a few needed more power and that’s when the H12 Core’s auto mode kicked in, pushing more power and water to the roller to make it easier to tackle the dirt.

In addition to the display, the H12 Core also comes with a speaker that gives you audio notifications to let you know that you need to fill water, start self-cleaning or more. It is useful as it is easy to understand and you don’t have to keep looking at the display.

The self-cleaning mode also comes in handy as you do not have to spend your time cleaning the brush. All you need to do is place the device on the charging base and click on the self-cleaning button.

One of the issues that you might face is the battery life. The company has claimed that the device offers a battery life of 25 minutes on a single charge, and while this is enough for most homes, if you have a large home that needs some deep cleaning, you have to charge it before you finish cleaning. The H12 Core takes five hours to fully charge.

Verdict

The Dreame H12 Core is a good option for those wishing to make cleaning their home easier. It is easy to use and requires minimal effort. At the end of the day, it is slightly expensive and can only be used on the floor, meaning you cannot use it to clean dirt in other areas.

If you are looking for a vacuum cleaner just for your floor, the Dreame H12 Core is worth considering.
