  • We caught up with Ferzad Palia, Head – Voot Select, Youth, Music and English Entertainment, Viacom18 to understand how it was all put together.
When content creators scratched their heads and waited for the lockdown to open up, Voot Select was putting together a series that was shot entirely on phones, laptops, CCTV footage and video calls.

The Gone Game is a show that breaks the barriers of space and location as it was shot entirely in isolation during the lockdown. It has been executed through remote direction, ingenious cinematography and limited equipment.

Produced by Bodhi Tree Multimedia, The Gone Game is set during a global pandemic, with a nation in lockdown, the story starts amidst a mysterious disappearance. The protagonist, Sahil Gujral, disappears and leaves his loved ones wondering if he fell prey to the virus or was something more sinister at play?

We caught up with Ferzad Palia, Head – Voot Select, Youth, Music and English Entertainment, Viacom18 to understand how it was all put together, if the platform had to compromise on the quality aspect for shooting remotely, and how has the lockdown and unlock period impacted Voot Select's growth so far.
