At the 19th edition of Ad Club's Effies, Hindustan Unilever Limited and Star India were adjudged joint winners as Effie India Client of the Year. Meanwhile, Ogilvy Group and McCann Worldgroup India shared the title of Effie India Agency of the Year.

HUL and Star grabbed the top spot with seven and eight metals respectively, with 58 points each, whereas Reckitt Benckiser grabbed six metals with 40 points.

The coveted Grand Effie was won by the EightyTwo Point Five Communications for Bisleri Packaged Drinking Water – 'Samajhdar Jante hai.'

Ogilvy made an appearance as the Winner of the Year at Effies after 2014. McCann Worldwide, on the other hand, marks a hattrick by winning the award for the third year in a row. DDB Mudra grabbed the third spot with 121 points.

Speaking about what makes Effies so coveted in the industry, Partho Dasgupta, President of The Advertising Club said, “I would first like to congratulate all the winners of the awards. Winning an EFFIE has always been a matter of great pride for every marketer and each of the winners are truly deserving of this recognition. Elaborating on the awards, Mitrajit Bhattacharya, Chairperson, Effies said, “Like every year, this year too, we saw some of the best and game-changing work being entered for the awards. The superior quality of work has led to marquee award categories like Client of the Year and the Agency of the Year for the first time in the history of the EFFIE’s being won by not one but two winners each.” He further added, “We are sure that the continuous evolution of the awards to reflect the changing media landscape by adding new and relevant categories will ensure that the awards continue to stay relevant and highly coveted."
