Google unveils its newest major product: the Google Home speaker
While we got an early preview of Google Home in May, Google is demonstrating the device in public for the first time.
We're updating this post live with all the news as it comes through from Google, so refresh or click here for the latest.
Here's what you need to know about Google Home:
Google Home is a speaker with the new Google Assistant built inside. Think of Assistant as Google's answer to Apple's Siri or Amazon's Alexa.
It lets you listen to streaming music, search Google, and control connected appliances in your home.
There's a touch panel at the top to adjust the volume or trigger the Google Assistant. You can also activate it with your voice. It has special microphones that can understand you even in a noisy room or at a distance.
You can swap the base with different colors to match your decor.
Google says it has the best sound quality in this product category.
