You can log in to Goodreads using a Goodreads account or an existing Facebook, Amazon, Google, or Apple account.
For the iOS or Android app, you can use a Goodreads account or an active Facebook, Amazon, or Apple account to sign in.
If you used a Google account to create a Goodreads account, you'll need to set a Goodreads-specific password to log in on the mobile app.

How to log in to Goodreads
With Goodreads, you can use your Facebook, Amazon, Google, or Apple account to create a Goodreads account, or you can opt to use an email address and password. Any of these options will work for signing in to your account on a web browser.
When it comes to the iOS or Android app, you can use an active Facebook, Amazon, or Apple account to sign in. Here, you can also opt to use an email address and password (which Goodreads recommends doing).

If you used a Google account to create a Goodreads account, you'll need to log in to your account on desktop and create a Goodreads-specific sign-in (email and password). Once you do this, you can use the email address and password you've assigned to sign in to your account on the Goodreads app.
Sign in to your account by entering your email address and password into the boxes at the top right of the screen or by clicking on the Facebook, Google, Amazon, or Apple logos to sign in using those credentials.
For Facebook, click the Facebook logo. A pop-up will appear. To finish logging in to Goodreads, click "Continue."
For Google, click the Google icon. Click on the account you want to use to sign in to Goodreads.
For Amazon, click the Amazon icon. A pop-up prompting you to sign in to your Amazon account will appear. Enter your Amazon login details, then click "Sign-In."
For Apple, click the Apple icon. Enter your Apple ID to sign in to Goodreads.
Sign in to your account by entering your email address and password or by tapping the options for Facebook, Amazon, or Apple. If you used a Google account to create a Goodreads account, you'll need to use your email address and a Goodreads-specific password to sign in; follow the steps in the next section to use a Google account on mobile.
For Facebook, tap "Continue with Facebook." You'll receive a pop-up message noting that Goodreads wants to use Facebook to sign in. Log in to your Facebook account and then tap "Continue."
For Amazon, tap "Continue with Amazon." Enter your Amazon login details, then click "Sign-In."
For Apple, tap "Continue with Apple." Set up Sign in with Apple by following the on-screen prompts.
How to troubleshoot a Goodreads mobile log in using Google
If you're unable to sign in to the Goodreads app using credentials from a third party, like a Google account, follow the steps below.

Sign in to the Goodreads website on desktop using your third-party credentials.
Click on your profile, then click "Account Settings."
In the Settings tab, enter an email address and password for Goodreads.
When you're finished, click "Save account settings."
Use this email address and password to log in to the Goodreads app.
