1. The actual launch of Facebook's Instant Articles has been slower and less dramatic than anyone expected. Facebook posts links to all its Instant Articles on a specific timeline, but has not published any stories since launch.

2. YouTube network Machinima is trying to take the guesswork out of advertising on the video site. The company is planning to develop content around events like E3 and Pax Prime, and new video game, movie, and television releases.

3. Fraudsters have been using Amazon's cloud to create fake web traffic. They've been creating computer generated bots to mimic the actions of real consumers, and using it to trick marketers into paying for online ads, the Wall Street Journal reports.

4. Coconut water brand Vita Coco has just kicked celebs out of its advertising campaigns. Adage reports that competing brand Zico just brought back Jessica Alba.

5. Here's why people are going crazy about coffee chain Bluebottle. The high-end coffee retailer just raised another $70 million in funding.

6. A year after the launch of Slate's membership model, the politics and culture site has 9,000 paying subscribers, Digiday reports. The site is hoping to grow that number by 75% in year two.
