These buildings are up for an award for the ugliest structure in the UK

Sadly, it is also home to plenty of architectural failures - as demonstrated by the shortlist of buildings nominated for the Carbuncle Cup, an annual award that is given to the UK's worst designed building by architecture site BD.
This year's shortlist is comprised of six hideous buildings that fall victim to "contextual incongruity, myopic cladding, woeful detailing, mind-numbing mediocrity, clumsy massing, incoherent form and ... poor planning," according to BD.
The winner (really, the loser) of the cup will be announced on Wednesday (September 7), and will follow in the footsteps of London's 20 Fenchurch, also known as the Walkie Talkie, which received the title for the UK's worst new building last year.
Here are all the buildings that made the list:

- In second consecutive week of decline, forex kitty drops $2.28 bn to $640.33 bn
