However, a report by the Korea Herald revealed that Concept One will be a foldable phone. Although OnePlus has not revealed any other details, it claimed that the Concept One will be an alternative future smartphone.

Essentially, it could be OnePlus’ answer to phones like the Samsung Galaxy Fold, Motorola Razr and the Huawei Mate X.

Foldable phones are not easy

At the moment, it is not known if Concept One will make it to the production line and compete with the likes of Galaxy Fold, Razr and Mate X. Among these three, the Galaxy Fold is the only foldable smartphone that has been launched commercially in multiple markets, including India.

The Motorola Razr witnessed a setback as its commercial launch is pushed back.

The Huawei Mate X finally went on sale in November, but it is not available for purchase outside of China as of now. If the OnePlus Concept One turns out to be a foldable phone, OnePlus has its task cut out.
