US-based Qualcomm today announced the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the company’s latest flagship chipset in India. The chipset comes with support for powerful on-device generative AI features. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is based on the same architecture as its powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset but offers a different clock speed. The chipset is based on a 4 nm process and supports LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.0 storage, up to 144Hz Quad HD+ display and Qualcomm Quick Charge 5.

OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite to launch soon in India – expected price, specs and everything we know so far

OnePlus is all set to launch a new budget smartphone, the Nord CE 4 Lite in India soon. While the Chinese smartphone maker is yet to confirm the launch of the device, the smartphone has recently been spotted on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Geekbench. The smartphone is the successor of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite which was launched in India in April 2023. As May is almost halfway done already, the launch of the successor has already been delayed a bit so we expect the company to soon launch the device.

Indian smartphone market up 8%, 5G smartphones account for over 70% of shipments

The Indian smartphone market reported good growth during Q1 2024, marking a good start to the year for smartphone makers. There was an 8% increase in smartphone shipments in India in Q1 2024. According to a report by Counterpoint Research, the growth was driven by healthy inventory volumes and the low base in Q1 2023. Another reason for the boost in shipments was the premiumisation trend among customers, with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series and the OnePlus 12.
