OnePlus is gearing up to launch new devices at its upcoming Summer Launch event. The company’s chief executive officer (CEO) Pete Lau has confirmed that the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will launch in India on June 10 alongside the OnePlus TV U1S.

Apart from confirming the launch, Lau also revealed some key details of the Nord CE 5G to TechRadar. Here’s everything we know about the successor to the original OnePlus Nord launched last year.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G India price and launch details

One of the most important aspects, especially of budget phones in India, is the price. While Lau did not exactly specify the price of the phone, he revealed that it will be more affordable than the original Nord.

As such, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G price in India could be between ₹20,000-₹25,000. To recall, the original Nord was priced at ₹24,999.

Also, as mentioned above, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will launch in India on June 10.

Lau also revealed that “CE” stands for “Core Edition”, which means that the upcoming Nord smartphone will be slightly watered down in terms of specifications.

Not much is known by way of the features of the upcoming Nord smartphone. However, based on information spotted in leaks, the OnePlus Nord 2021 series could be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity series.

Specifically, the OnePlus Nord 2 is said to be powered by the flagship Dimensity 1200 chipset, which supports both 5G and Wi-Fi 6. The Nord 2 could end up being the Nord CE 5G.

According to information revealed by popular tipster OnLeaks, the OnePlus Nord 2 could sport a design that is similar to that of the recent smartphones from the company, like the OnePlus 9 series.

He adds that the Nord 2 could sport a 6.49-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The renders suggest the presence of four cameras, with a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra wide angle snapper and two 2MP monochrome and macro sensors.

To recall, the OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inch display and is powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset. It comes with up to 12GB of memory and 256GB storage and has a 4,115mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
