Grimes is squashing her beef with Shivon Zilis, saying communication about Elon Musk's secret twins 'wasn't handled super well' in the past

Grimes and Shivon Zilis — both of whom have children with Elon Musk — have put a public end to their feud on the Musk-owned X platform.

Grimes made a post on X on September 10, saying she wanted to "de-escalate the narrative" surrounding any beef she might have had with the Neuralink executive.

"I spoke with Shivon at length finally, which was long overdue. This wasn't her fault, plz don't be angry at her!" Grimes wrote.

"We respect each other a lot and we're excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together," she added.

Grimes was initially "outraged" that she only found out about Musk and Zilis' twins when the public did, per an excerpt of Walter Isaacson's upcoming biography of Musk, per the Wall Street Journal.

And in a now-deleted September 7 tweet seen and screen-capped by Jezebel and other news outlets, Grimes also accused Zilis of blocking her on social media.

"Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer," Grimes wrote.

"I have never been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart," she added.

But it looks like the musician is now ready to bury the hatchet with Zilis.

"Communication about the twins wasn't handled super well in the past, but I now totally understand what happened and totally forgive the situation," Grimes wrote on X on September 10.

Grimes added that she thinks women are "often pitted against each other." But now that she's spoken to Zilis, Grimes says the latter is an "amazing human" and that they can both agree that they "just want what's best for our kids."

Zilis thanked Grimes in a response on X for "taking the time to really connect" with her.

"So glad we had such a wonderful talk, was insanely overdue," Zilis wrote, calling Grimes a "total badass."

"I can't wait for kiddo play date and congrats on baby Tau as well," Zilis added, referring to Grimes' third child with Musk, Tau Techno Mechanicus.

Musk has ten living children with three different women. He shares three children with Grimes — X Æ A-Xii, or X; Exa Dark Sideræl, known as Y, and Tau.

He also has twins with Zilis named Strider and Azure, and five older children with his ex-wife, Justine Musk.

Representatives for Grimes and Zilis did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider sent outside regular business hours.
