Nothing ear (1) price in India is ₹5,999 – launch date, features and everything we know so far
  • The Nothing ear (1) truly wireless earbuds are the debut product of the Carl Pei-led company.
  • Carl Pei is the co-founder of smartphone maker OnePlus.
  • The Nothing ear (1) will support active noise cancellation (ANC) and will likely sport a transparent design.
The Nothing ear (1) truly wireless earbuds price in India has been revealed, and unlike most expectations, the Carl Pei-led company has fixed it at ₹5,999. This is much lower than the global price of £99, which is approximately ₹10,250.

Manu Sharma, Vice President and General Manager, Nothing India says, “India is an important market for Nothing and and in partnership with Flipkart, we look forward to introducing ear (1) to Indian users at the same time as our global launch.

“It is important for us to bring value to our Indian users from day one. Starting with ear (1), our products will be uniquely designed and easy to use. Above all, they will be devices we are proud to use ourselves and recommend to our friends and family,” he added, elaborating on the affordable pricing for the Indian market.

Nothing is a London-based tech company, founded by Carl Pei, who left OnePlus in October last year and has since been working on Nothing. His company has made two major acquisitions already – the first being Andy Rubin’s Essential, and the second being Sweden-based Teenage Engineering.

Nothing ear (1) launch date and availability

The launch date of the earbuds is confirmed to be July 27, 18:30 IST. They will be available for purchase on Flipkart.

Nothing ear (1) - everything we know so far

Based on everything that Nothing has revealed so far, the ear (1) TWS earbuds will have the transparent design as one of its key selling points, apart from the active noise cancellation (ANC) feature.

The transparent design is one of the centrepieces of the ear (1) – so much so that Nothing has focused its teasers around this aspect, including a video dedicated to just this.

Nothing also acquired Sweden-based technology firm Teenage Engineering, whose co-founder is steering Nothing’s design philosophy.

The Nothing ear (1) will be competing with the likes of Apple AirPods Pro, Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, Beats Studio Buds, and Sony WF-1000MX4, among others. The addition of ANC should not only give Nothing the boost it needs for its debut but also help set the ear (1) apart in a crowded TWS earbuds market.

We should know more about the Nothing ear (1) closer to the launch.
